Xiaomi 12 Pro "Max": A new flagship variant is reportedly spotted on a Chinese registry ahead of its launch
Xiaomi may have launched multiple successors to 2021's Mi 11 thus far; hoewver, the OEM is said to be far from done for the year in this regard. It is said to saturate the market as much as possible, with alternatives ranging from the 12 Lite in addition to the 12X, which may soon be joined by 12S cousins on top of that, not to mention the potentially top-end 12 Ultra.
Now, Xiaomi seems truly committed to keeping people thinking (and typing) their common denominator throughout 2022: that's right, yet another 12-series variant is now allegedly on the way. Word of this upcoming option could be dismissed in the face of so many rumors concerning all of the others: however, according to the reliable leaker Digital Chat Station, it stands apart due to its novel code-name and model number.
Accordingly, it has apparently been certified in China as the Xiaomi 2207122MC, whereas most upcoming alternatives are linked to identifiers along the lines of 2206nnnXX thus far. However, as this one apparently has the code-name L2M, Digital Chat Station hints that it most likely has something to do with the 12 Pro (or "L2", whereas the Ultra is said to be the L1, the 12S the L2S and so on).
This new device, now provisionally dubbed the "Xiaomi 12 Pro Max" (although there are other valid candidates, 12M and 12T included), is now projected to emerge in the second half of 2022 (2H2022). Any word on how it may differ from the current series flagship has yet to emerge.
