Thousands of Xbox players are reporting problems with the Xbox Network today. The affected services include Accounts & Profile, Store & Subscriptions, and Apps & Mobile.

PlayStation Network recently suffered a major outage that left users unable to access their accounts, browse the PlayStation Store, or play games online for several hours. Now, it seems Xbox players are dealing with a similar situation, as thousands of users are reporting problems with the Xbox Network today.

The issue first started appearing around six hours ago, when players took to social media to report that they were unable to access Xbox Network services. At the same time, reports on Downdetector began rising rapidly, suggesting the outage was affecting users across multiple regions. Initially, the official Xbox Status page indicated that everything was operating normally. However, that has now changed.

Microsoft's Xbox Status page now confirms that several Xbox services are experiencing issues. According to the company, the outage is affecting Accounts & Profile, Store & Subscriptions, and Apps & Mobile. As a result, some users may be unable to sign in to their Xbox profiles, could be disconnected after signing in, or experience other account-related problems. In addition, some games or content may not appear correctly in the Xbox Store while the outage continues.

Microsoft has not yet shared what caused the disruption. However, the company has confirmed that its engineers are actively investigating the issue and working to restore normal service. At the time of writing, it has already been around six hours since users first began reporting problems, and there is still no estimate for when everything will be back online.
