The Vivo X200s is already thought to launch as an Android smartphone with an upgraded SoC and fingerprint sensor compared to its apparent precursor the X200. Now, it is also backed to launch with the bigger battery of the 2 - perhaps the biggest of its series thus far.
The X200 debuted as a 5,800mAh device (unless you buy it in Europe, unfortunately, where it is reduced to 5,220mAh), rising to 6,000mAh in some markets for the X200 Pro - however, the X200s is now projected to outdo both at over 6,000mAh.
That might explain why Vivo is projected to release an X200s rather than an X200s Pro: the former might be intended to encompass the latter in terms of its specs.
It might be why the refreshed model is also now tipped to launch with the wireless charging missing in the vanilla X200 but present in the Pro.
The X200s' periscope zoom rear camera might also be augmented with a macro mode (which, again, is a Pro-exclusive feature to date), despite having the same 50MP resolution as that of the X200.
Should that be the case, it might be the only Dimensity 9400+ smartphone introduced at its launch, an event thought to be shared with an X200s Ultra sibling equipped with new top-end Qualcomm silicon instead.
