With its BlackBerry-style design and a second touchscreen on the back, the Unihertz Titan 2 is one of the most unusual smartphones on the market. Pebblehertz makes the second display much more useful, as it can display thousands of Pebble watch faces.

The Unihertz Titan 2 was released about a year ago. In addition to the keyboard, the secondary display on the back is one of the device’s standout features, as the 2-inch screen allows you to take selfies with the main camera and can also display small widgets. Pebblehertz now makes the secondary display much more useful.

This project, which is now available as a beta version on GitHub, allows you to display any Pebble watch face on the Unihertz Titan 2’s secondary display. Once the Pebblehertz app has been installed via the .apk file, it allows you to import Pebble watch faces and display them on the secondary display. To do this, the respective watch face must be downloaded as a .pbw file from the Pebble Store. Although most watch faces are supported in the current version, Pebble apps do not yet work reliably.

There are also still some limitations with watch faces in the current beta version. If a watch face requires access to the internet, weather data, or PebbleKit JavaScript, this can lead to display errors. However, the developer plans to work on further expanding support for watch faces and apps in the future.

Currently, there are more than 10,000 watch faces to choose from. These include numerous watch faces based on popular game series, ranging from Pokémon to Kirby and Super Mario to Skyrim. There’s also no shortage of watch faces inspired by coveted timepieces or interactive watch faces that respond to the number of steps taken or the current weather.
