Here’s what the Garmin CIRQA button can do, and how expensive the official accessories are
The Garmin CIRQA was officially unveiled just a few hours ago. While the wearable is similarly priced to the Polar Loop ($199 on Amazon), Garmin charges a significantly higher price for fabric wristbands in other colors.
A Garmin CIRQA wristband costs $59.99 in the Garmin online store. Interestingly, Garmin offers more colors in its accessories store than can be selected when purchasing the Garmin CIRQA. While the Garmin CIRQA can be ordered with a wristband in French Gray (beige), Mauve (red), Captain Blue (dark blue), or black, wristbands in French Blue (light blue), Citron Gray (yellow-green), and Dark Olive (dark green) can also be ordered separately.
In addition, Garmin offers a strap for attaching the Garmin CIRQA to the upper arm for $59.99. Wearing a fitness tracker on the upper arm instead of the wrist can result in more accurate heart rate measurements during certain workouts. Meanwhile, Garmin has also published the Garmin CIRQA user manual, which explains the function of the button on the wristband.
According to the manual, pressing the button starts a predefined activity – the LED and vibration motor confirm that tracking has started successfully. Pressing the button a second time stops the workout. If the button is pressed three times in quick succession, the wristband enters pairing mode. If, on the other hand, the button is held down for three seconds, the heart rate is transmitted via Bluetooth, for example, to a bike computer. The button can also be used to stop the alarm.
