Ugreen has stepped up its accessory game with a new dock for the latest generation of Mac mini desktops (curr. $549 on Amazon). While the company is best known for creating charging accessories, the company's Mac mini dock goes toe-to-toe with those already sold by Raycue and Satechi.
For example, Ugreen has integrated an M.2 2280 slot that is accessible from the dock's bottom side. In other words, the SSD slot should be relatively easy to get into, unlike the equivalent found in Raycue's alternative that requires a bit more work to access. Unfortunately, the M.2 slot in Raycue's dock peaks at 10 Gbps transfer speeds rather than 40 Gbps.
Regardless, the new docking solution also contains five USB Type-A ports of differing standards and three USB Type-C ports. Moreover, Ugreen has included SD and MicroSD card readers, unlike many of its peers. The dock provides easy access to the Mac mini's power button too and has a built-in cable that is purpose-built to match up with a Type-C port on the Mac mini itself.
Currently, Ugreen's Mac mini dock can be picked up on Amazon for €79.99 (~$87) in the Eurozone. Although Ugreen has not confirmed as much yet, we suspect it will bring its new Mac mini dock to other markets within the next few months.
