Casio's rumored rubber-strap G-Steel watches have surfaced in full before launch. The latest leak confirms their design, specs, and a much lighter build, while revealing one notable change from the earlier renders.

Hot on the heels of the GST-B1000BD-1A and GST-B1000BD-2A in June, Casio is reportedly gearing up to launch two more additions to the G-Steel lineup. The biggest change this time around is the switch from a stainless steel bracelet to a lightweight silicone rubber strap, giving the premium analog watches a sportier look.

The G-Shock GST-B1000-1A and GST-B1000-2A have surfaced at Vietnamese retailer G-Shock Hai Phong, revealing their design, specifications, and marketing material ahead of what appears to be an August debut. We first learned about the rubber-strap GST-B1000 back in May, and while most of the details from that leak remain accurate, there's one big change.

The earlier renders showed the GST-B1000-2A sporting a pale blue dial similar to the GBM2100A-1A2. The latest leak paints a different picture, with the dial now appearing much darker and closer to the metallic blue finish found on the recently announced GST-B1000BD-2A. We're not sure whether this was a last-minute change or just that the previous renders simply didn't reflect the final product.

The May leak also suggested the rubber variants would weigh between 70 and 80 grams, but the leaked spec sheet lists them at a surprisingly light 58 grams. For comparison, the bracelet-equipped GST-B1000D comes in at 118 grams. The case dimensions remain the same at 6.9 × 44.2 × 11.6 mm.

Under the hood, both models pack Casio’s Module 5748 with Tough Solar power, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, a 30-minute stopwatch, countdown timer, daily alarm, and a Super Illuminator LED light. While official pricing hasn't been announced yet, expect these to land around $350 to $370.
