NTDev, the developer behind Tiny11, has managed to get Windows 11 running on an iPhone 15 Pro. The dev showed the operating system adapting well to the phone's smaller screen, but NTDev notes that it took around 20 minutes for the OS to boot, and it runs slow.

Windows 11 has a couple of hardware requirements that prevent the operating system from running on incompatible devices. However, these requirements haven't stopped developers from getting the OS to work on as many systems as possible. One good example would be Tiny11, a cut-down version of the operating system (Windows 11 Home curr. $119.99 on Amazon).

The same developer behind Tiny11, NTDev, has now managed to run Windows 11 on iPhone 15 Pro. This isn't the first time we have seen Windows run on mobile devices, though. There's also an emulator called Winlator, which allows you to run Windows games and apps on a mobile phone.

However, this is the first time someone has managed to get Windows 11 on an iPhone. Of course, the experience isn't as great as you may have expected. NTDev notes that the operating system took around 20 minutes to boot, and even the simple tasks run slow on the device.

Another thing that's worth noting is that Windows 11 isn't running natively on the iPhone 15 Pro. Instead, it runs inside UTM SE, which is a virtualization app that can be sideloaded on Apple devices. The operating system was also stripped down to the bare essentials, reducing the ISO size to under 3 gigabytes. Check out NTDev's tweet attached below to learn more.
