Acemagic starts taking orders for its dual-screen laptop at a discounted price
The Acemagic X1 dual-screen laptop is now available to pre-order in Europe and the US. The dual-screen laptop was first showcased at Computex in April 2024, albeit under a different name, but will now be sold as the Acemagic X1.
Acemagic has gone for a design that is different from that of the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i and the Asus Zenbook Duo, both of which are also called dual-screen laptops. Unlike Lenovo and Asus's laptops which have two screens connected by a hinge and a detachable Bluetooth keyboard, the Acemagic X1 is like a traditional laptop that has an integrated keyboard but with a second screen that unfolds to the left hand side. The screen can also be folded back completely to face away from the user, thanks to its 360-degree hinges.

The Chinese manufacturer claims the Acemagic X1 is the world's first horizontally foldable 360-degree laptop, and if you pre-order, it can be yours for just $899 if you are in the US or €899 if you are in Europe. That's cheap when compared to the Asus Zenbook Duo which costs $1,449 or the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i that had a launch price of $1,999. However, it is important to state that Acemagic seems to be offering a discount as the product page mentions a $1,399/€1,399 original price.
For $899/€899, the Acemagic X1 has two 14-inch FHD displays, an Intel Core i7-1255U processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 NVME SSD. There's a single USB-A 3.0 port, HDMI 2.0 port, a Type-C port for charging only, and another with display output support. It also has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. The Acemagic X1 ships with Windows 11 out of the box.
