ThinkBook Plus Gen 6: Lenovo finally reveals imminent release for first rollable laptop
It has been a while since we heard anything new about Lenovo's first rollable laptop. To recap, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 garnered plenty of attention when Lenovo exhibited it during CES 2025 with a 14-inch OLED display that extends to 16.7-inches for a quasi dual-screen set-up.
Initially, the company hoped to begin selling the device in Q1 2025. However, this did not come to pass, nor did Lenovo provide any further details during this time. Nonetheless, it turns out that the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 will be available later this week. Thankfully, the price has not changed from January despite the subsequent introduction of United States import tariffs.
According to Intel, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 will go on sale starting June 19. While not yet live on Lenovo's website, Intel insists that the rollable laptop will start at $3,499 with features like a 66 Wh battery, a Lunar Lake architecture processor, LPDDR5x-8533 RAM and dual Thunderbolt 4 connectivity packed within a 1.69 kg housing that measures 303 x 230 x 19.9 mm housing.
In that sense, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 should be about as powerful as Lenovo's other Lunar Lake-based laptops like the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 that we reviewed at the end of last year (curr. $1,899 on Amazon). Intel adds that Lenovo rates the laptop's rollable display for 'at least' 20,000 rolls. Meanwhile, the lid hinge should last being opened and closed at least 30,000 times.
