Introduced earlier this year with an MSRP of $1,100, the Lenovo Slim 7i Aura is now seeing its first significant discount down to $800 - a 27% drop in price. This deal is available only at Staples.
This 14-inch ultrabook does not come with a dGPU, yet the Core Ultra 7 256V integrates an Arc Graphics 140V GPU, which should prove sufficient for the 1920 x 1200 native resolution of the OLED display. Speaking of the screen, the FHD+ OLED is capped at 60 Hz refresh rate, but has touch functionality, can deliver 600 nits of peak brightness in HDR and is rated for 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
Complementing the processor are 16 GB of on-die LPDDR5-8533 RAM and a 1 TB PCie 4.0 NVMe SSD. Other outstanding features include a 5 MP webcam with IT sensor and E-shutter, as well as 2 twitters + 2 woofers for an immersive Dolby Atmos experience with Smart Amp function. Unfortunately, Lenovo does not provide a stylus pen for the touchscreen in the package.
Port selection is great for a device this size, with 2x Thunderbolt 4 connectors, 1 USB-A 5 Gbps, HDMI 2.1 (limited bandwidth) video out, mic/headphone audio jack and a microSD card reader. Wireless connectivity is ensured via a Wi-Fi 7 + BT 5.4 card.
The all-aluminum chassis including the 70 Wh battery has an impressively thin profile of only 0.55 inches (1.39 cm) and the ultrabook weighs 2.82 lbs (1.28 kg).
