Smart Band 10: New affordable Xiaomi fitness tracker launches with 21-day battery life

The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 has now been officially unveiled at the latest launch event held in China. This affordable fitness tracker comes with a larger screen than its predecessor. To be specific, the new wearable has a 1.72-inch display, while the last-gen offering features a 1.62-inch screen.

Xiaomi highlights that the display of the Smart Band 10 has narrow 2.0 mm four-sided bezels. It also has a peak brightness rating of 1,500 nits, another upgrade over the predecessor (available on Amazon), which has a max brightness rating of 1,200 nits. The panel is still an AMOLED with a 60 Hz refresh rate, though.

Like the previous fitness trackers from Xiaomi, the Smart Band 10 can be paired with a wide range of bands. The official options include new "3D knitted" and "high-end natural silk" straps. For further customizations, there are over 200 watch faces available, and users can also use a customized face from their gallery.

Regarding fitness tracking, the Smart Band 10 has over 150 sports modes. There's a new swimming mode that can monitor real-time heart rate during swimming and recognize swimming postures. Xiaomi also notes that the fitness tracker has a 5 ATM water resistance rating.

When it comes to health tracking, Xiaomi claims that the fitness tracker is equipped with "high-precision" sensors for accurate heart rate and blood oxygen pressure monitoring. The Smart Band 10 also has a sleep monitor feature, which aims to help users improve their sleeping habits.

Battery life rating remains the same as the predecessor, at 21 days without AOD and up to 9 days with the AOD feature turned on. Other highlights of the Smart Band 10 include HyperOS 2, stress monitoring, and availability in four color options.

Its launch price in China is CNY 269, which converts to around $37.5. There's an NFC version that costs CNY 319, about $44.5, while the special Ceramic Edition costs CNY 379, around $53. Xiaomi has yet to share details on the global availability and pricing of the Smart Band 10.
