The OnePlus 6 and 6T are now receiving the Android 10 beta update
OnePlus sent out the stable Android 10-based Oxygen OS 10 update to the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro a while ago, and has now started sending out the beta update to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. This, of course, means that OnePlus is the first OEM to start sending out Android 10 builds to its last-gen devices, with the fair exception of Essential and Google.
The beta is only accessible to owners of the factory unlocked models of the OnePlus 6 and 6T. Carrier models will be bricked if the update is installed. Owners can either get it from the Update App, or download it manually. The file weighs in at 1.7 GB, and installing it does not cause data loss.
Some bugs may include non-functional Google Pay, WiFi, and skipped frames. Those aren't particularly bad for an early beta build, though. You can have a look at our in-depth Oxygen OS 10 review here.
We expect a rollout of the stable version of the software before the end of the year.
