Two weeks ago, we reported that the OnePlus 6 and 6T were receiving the Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 update. That was, of course, the beta update, and the two phones are now receiving the full, stable Android 10 OTA.
The installation of the beta build was only available to owners of factory unlocked models of the phones. There's also the fact that it came with a few bugs, being a beta and all. This build, on the other hand, is available to users of all OnePlus 6 and 6T models.
Going by the official post on the OnePlus forums, users on the Android 10 beta build are advised to rollback to the stable Pie build, then wait for the stable Android 10 OTA—or just download and flash the file themselves. User data will be lost. Flashing the stable build over the beta build directly (dirty-flashing) may or may not lead to data loss.
Users on Pie can install the Android 10 OTA without any fear of data loss.
