Xiaomi's Mi Mix series has quickly become the company's most anticipated line, offering Xiaomi's most-specced device for the year in a relationship with the main Mi line that mirrors Samsung's Galaxy S and Note series. The company has now officially confirmed the launch date of the Mix 4.
The flagship will be unveiled on September 24. That's a week away and puts the Mix 4 in the public eye at the same time as the Huawei Mate 30 phones. Xiaomi is big enough for such publicity, in any case, and we have a feeling the Mix 4 may be a more attractive offering than the Mate 30 phones to most, Google restrictions and pricing in mind.
Not much is confirmed about the Mi Mix 4 at this point but it could launch with the latest iteration of Xiaomi's skin, MIUI 11. Rumors claim it will feature a triple camera setup, with the main shooter being Samsung's new monster sensor, the 108 MP ISOCELL Bright HMX. We wouldn't be surprised to see the 64 MP GW1 instead, however.
The Mix 4 is said to feature a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a telephoto shooter capable of 5x optical zoom by means of a periscope lens, much like the Huawei P30 Pro. Other touted features include 45 W fast charge, 30 W wireless charging, a QHD+ AMOLED display, a 4500 mAh battery, and UFS 3.0 storage. That'd make it one of the most feature-packed flagships on the market, and perhaps the most attractive of the lot since it'd probably have an MSRP under US$600.
Most of these are just rumors, however, but we won't have to wait much longer for the real deal.
