The HP Omen 30L gaming desktop now comes with Nvidia's RTX 3000 series graphics cards
Following Dell's footsteps, HP has refreshed its Omen line of gaming desktops with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics cards. However, only the HP Omen 30L is configurable with Nvidia's newest hardware. HP will likely refresh the lower-end Omen 25L at a later point. The desktops will be up for grabs later this year. While HP hasn't mentioned how much the new HP Omen 30L will cost, it is reasonable to assume that the base variant will go for at least US$1,500.
The new HP Omen 30L gaming desktop can be customized with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and RTX 3070 graphics cards. Additional options like the rumored GeForce RTX 3060 Ti should be available too, once they're official. Everything else about the desktops is pretty much the same. You still get a liquid-cooled CPU, a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth 5.0 card, and an HP-branded case. It should make for an impressive gaming experience when paired with HP's latest x24i and x24h monitors.
CPU options range on the refreshed HP Omen 30L gaming desktops between the Intel Core i9-10900K and Core i5-10600K. Team Red enthusiasts can choose an AMD Ryzen 9 3900, Ryzen 7 3700x, or a Ryzen 5 3600. However, it shouldn't be long before HP offers more CPU options, as AMD's Ryzen 4000 series is due for launch soon. Memory and storage options max out at 2TB of solid-state storage and 64GB of DDR4 RAM.
