HP’s refresh of their OMEN gaming brand includes new desktop PCs with all-AMD combinations sold alongside the regular Intel/Nvidia or AMD/Nvidia setups. This makes HP one of the few major OEMs producing full AMD systems.
Craig Ward,

The HP OMEN 30L and the smaller 25L are available in a variety of configurations with Intel and AMD processors combined with Nvidia and AMD graphics cards. While the popularity of OEM configurations using AMD Ryzen CPUs has been rising (pun not intended), they usually are only paired with Nvidia GPUs.

This limit of choice is disappointing because AMD’s current Navi cards are competitive in the mid-range. The RX 5500 XT sits around the GTX 1650 Super, the RX 5600 XT performs in line with the RTX 2060, and the RX 5700 / 5700 XT jump around the RTX 2060 Super and RTX 2070 Super depending on the game being tested.

In addition to AMD's CPU options all being overclockable, two of the Intel models are the overclocking capable k-series. All memory is Kingston HyperX, the M.2 NVMe storage drives are from Western Digital, and the power supplies are Cooler Master 500 W bronze models except for the most expensive i7 version which uses a Cooler Master 750 W Platinum model.

The eight highlighted configurations are in the table below:

I grew up in a family surrounded by technology, starting with my father loading up games for me on a Commodore 64, and later on a 486. In the late 90's and early 00's I started learning how to tinker with Windows, while also playing around with Linux distributions, both of which gave me an interest for learning how to make software do what you want it to do, and modifying settings that aren't normally user accessible. After this I started building my own computers, and tearing laptops apart, which gave me an insight into hardware and how it works in a complete system. Now keeping up with the latest in hardware and software news is a passion of mine.
