Following what seemed like a never-ending torrent of leaks, Bethesda has finally broken its silence about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. It will show off the game tomorrow (April 22) at 11:00 ET/08:00 PT/16:00 BST via a live stream on Twitch and YouTube. There's a good chance the release got pushed back from its initial April 21 date due to leaks.
Given the game's size has already been revealed by data miners, there's a good chance The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will be playable immediately, or a few days after launch. But, if you're one with a slow internet connection, you might have to wait a while because it will take up an eye-watering 120 GB of hard drive space. As far as its price goes, $40 sounds about right because the game is being remade from scratch in Unreal Engine 5. No $10 upgrades for us this time, unfortunately.
With this out of the way, the rumour mill will start working overtime speculating what game will Bethesda remaster next. An The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind remaster would be ideal, but there's so sign that will happen anytime soon. Fallout 3 seems like a plausible contender, but once again, that appears to be on the back burner. That leaves us with the best-case scenario, Fallout: New Vegas. However, that may take a while, too, because Obsidian is busy with The Outer Worlds 2.
