Ten of the mainline Final Fantasy games are coming to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Every main Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy VII, save for the two MMORPGs (Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV), will be released for Xbox Game Pass throughout 2020.

Microsoft announced several games coming to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service over the coming year, but ten, in particular, stood out. Almost every main Final Fantasy title since 1997's Final Fantasy VII will be added to Xbox Game Pass throughout 2020.

Here are the specific Final Fantasy games that were announced today:

  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Final Fantasy VIII: Remastered
  • Final Fantasy IX
  • Final Fantasy X: HD Remastered
  • Final Fantasy X-2: HD Remastered
  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2
  • Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
  • Final Fantasy XV

Noticeably missing are Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV, though their absence is understandable considering they are MMORPGs. Phil Spencer, Executive Vice President of Gaming at Microsoft, said that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn may be coming to the Game Pass service later on. Spencer said that Microsoft is “working through what it means to bring a cross-platform MMO that [Square Enix has] run for years.”

If JRPGs aren’t your jam, several other titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass. Some of these include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Tekken 8, and Yakuza 0
