Elex is an action RPG created by the developers of the Gothic series, set in a world that blends post-apocalyptic and science fantasy elements. You join a conflict centered on a powerful resource capable of granting magical powers but also of transforming the inhabitants of this world. 

This resource was uncovered after a meteorite impact. The survivors formed different factions, each with different visions and goals. As a player, you are Jax, a commander who has been betrayed. 

You'll have to uncover the truth by exploring this open world, making choices that shape your adventure, joining factions, and facing enemies. To do so, you'll have a variety of weapons at your disposal, as well as magic. Throughout your adventure, you'll need to complete quests, make decisions that will have an impact, and use various tools to get around.

Of 19,627 reviews on Steam, 74% are positive. However, on Metacritic, reviews are more mixed, with a Metascore of 67 and a user score of 6.1. Some players criticize the combat, and the animations are considered poor. In addition, although the game was released in 2017, its graphics were heavily criticized for their quality. However, the story and its universe are praised, as is its open world. Its difficulty is also appreciated.
