The latest Samsung promotional images are not only much higher resolution, but they also reveal new details about the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2.
Didn’t we just see leaked marketing material for all the new Samsung products expected at Galaxy Unpacked in a few hours? That’s right, but apparently that wasn't complete yet. New official marketing material not only provides further details on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 diving capabilities and the Galaxy Watch 9 battery specs, it is also significantly higher quality.

The past few days and weeks have given us numerous leaks about the new Samsung Galaxy Z and Galaxy Watch lineup, which will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. However some exciting new details have now been uncovered thanks to new promotional images leaked by @evleaks on X. Despite the strong resemblance to Evan Blass’s well-known accounts, the leaker himself stated in the past that this X account is not his own.

However, that account is clearly following in his footsteps by providing very official-looking new promotional images from Samsung, though apparently from Spain or Latin America this time round. The resolution of the marketing material below is also significantly higher than that of the previously leaked images so the quality is visibly improving just a few hours before the Galaxy Unpacked event.

What’s particularly interesting regarding the Galaxy Watch 9 specs is the correction of a detail from the July 11 specs leak. That leak suggested that the battery capacity of the new 40mm model would likely remain unchanged at the predecessor’s 325 mAh. That is apparently incorrect. According to one of the promotional images, the battery of even the smallest Samsung smartwatch will be increasing to 390 mAh, while that of the 44 mm model is increasing to 445 mAh. Otherwise, one of the promotional images shows a person raising their arm to place an order.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2

The four promo images below also reveal an exciting new detail about the successor to the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 (available here on Amazon US), that, as far as we know, hasn’t been mentioned or leaked anywhere yet. One of the pictures hints at EN13319 certification for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, which, to our knowledge, was not present in the two previous models - in stark contrast to the Apple Watch Ultra Series 3, for example. In the fine print for previous Galaxy Watch Ultra models, Samsung explicitly states that the smartwatch is not suitable for diving, despite its 10 ATM and IP68 certifications.

However, the international EN13319 certification explicitly certifies products as suitable for use as diving equipment, so Samsung has apparently addressed a shortcoming for divers with their now 12% thinner design. Also highlighted are the significantly larger 800 mAh battery, the titanium body and the IP69K certification which allows for even higher water pressure. The display, which is significantly brighter at 5,000 nits, is also mentioned once again here.
