Xiaomi has put the Redmi Display 1A external monitor up for pre-sale. The display costs 599 yuan (US$84) and is the first monitor released under the well-known Redmi brand. The Redmi Display 1A measures 539.2 (length) x 181.2 (width) x 419.5 (height) mm and is just 7.3 mm in depth at its slimmest point.
The Redmi Display 1A offers a 60 Hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution (1920x1080). The measured gray-to-gray response time is 6 ms and brightness is reportedly 250 cd/m2. The 16:9 Redmi Display 1A external monitor has a screen size of 23.8 inches and there is no visible screen flickering under normal operation.
For 599 yuan (US$84), it appears the Redmi Display 1A monitor from Xiaomi has a lot on offer, although the top and side narrow bezels are slightly spoiled by the rather large chin. The monitor supports low blue light emissions to help with protecting a user’s eyes, and Xiaomi is so confident about the Redmi Display 1A that it even includes a handy 3-year warranty.
