Xiaomi launched a barrage of products in Europe today alongside the Redmi 9 series of smartphones. The list includes Xiaomi's Mi Curved Gaming Monitor. At €399 (US$455), it is quite affordable when compared against other monitors that offer similar specs. However, Xiaomi had to make a few compromises to keep its price low.
The Mi Curved Gaming Monitor has a 3440 x 1440 resolution, with an aspect ratio of 21:9. Its 1500R degree of curvature is similar to what we've seen on other gaming monitors. Its 34-inch screen is clocked at 144Hz and is compatible with AMD's FreeSync. Nvidia GSync would have been ideal, but it would drive up the monitor's price quite a bit. Xiaomi has neglected to mention the panel type used in the monitor. Looking at its 300 nits peak brightness and lack of HDR support, it is likely a VA panel.
Xiaomi claims that the Mi Curved Gaming Monitor covers 121% of the sRGB spectrum, allowing it to display up to 16.7 million colors. It also comes with a magnetic mount that lets you adjust the monitor's height, angle, and swivel. Input options include two HDMI and Display Ports.
