RedMagic may have focused on its new gaming tablet today and associated accessories. However, it has also introduced a new gaming controller that can be used across a variety of systems. As the images below show, RedMagic has developed its Blade controller in partnership with the Total War: Three Kingdoms with which it has been adorned in a corresponding livery.
Fundamentally, the RedMagic Blade adopts an Xbox controller layout with a sculpted shell and offset joysticks. RedMagic’s new controller integrates features not seen across Xbox controllers (curr. $64.99 on Amazon) though, such as a six-axis gyroscope. On top of that, the RedMagic Blade boasts a 1,000 Hz wireless polling rate to minimise input lag and maximise in-game responsiveness.
Moreover, RedMagic has included dual-mode triggers with linear and direct options, which can be found in an increasing number of devices like the Legion Go S gaming handheld. RedMagic also notes that its Blade controller contains switches that it rates for up to 5 million clicks despite its budget price tag. To that end, the RedMagic Blade retails for CNY 399 (~$55). Unfortunately, there is no word on global availability or pricing yet though.
