The Realme GT 8 Pro was announced in China just last week, and a teaser website has now confirmed that the global launch is planned for November. However, Realme has only confirmed a launch in India. But similar to the Realme GT 7 Pro, the handset will likely arrive in other markets sooner or later.
The flagship smartphone starts at the equivalent of $560. It will likely cost significantly more in Europe and other regions, as is typical for many smartphones from Chinese manufacturers. One of the most unusual aspects of the Realme GT 8 Pro is the camera module cover, which can be swapped so it changes from a round into a square module with just a few steps.
With a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide camera and a 200MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto camera with 1/1.56-inch sensor and triple optical zoom, the Realme GT 8 Pro offers a relatively strong camera setup. Ricoh’s camera specialists contribute features including the camera app with a minimalist interface and so-called Snap Focus, which lets users preset the focus distance in order to reduce shutter lag.
With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, the Realme GT 8 Pro arguably offers flagship specs. Meanwhile, the 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED display has a resolution of 3136 x 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 144Hz and peak HDR brightness of 7,000 nits.
