The Realme 5 is now official. Flipkart is now promoting this phone as the first in its price-bracket to rock quad rear cameras and a 5000mAh battery. Furthermore, it will be launched alongside a Pro variant, which has the same number of cameras, 1 of which is confirmed to be 48MP in resolution.

The Realme RMX1911 has attracted attention as of late, due to leaked specs that invite close comparisons with the Xiaomi Mi CC9e (or Mi A3). These rumors also contained speculation that this phone would be called the 5 at its launch. Not only has Flipkart just confirmed this, but it has also teased an unexpected Pro version of the same phone.

Therefore, based on this new promotion, the Realme 5 and 5 Pro will be first unleashed upon the Indian market. These new previews disclose some banner features of the two new devices, the foremost of which is the quadruple rear camera to be exhibited by both variants. This is particularly interesting, as the material states that the base 5 will be the first to this spec in its price category. (Therefore, this phone may indeed prove a headache for Xiaomi's Mi CC line).

The Flipkart teaser also states that the Realme 5's cameras will have a "large" f/1.8 aperture in one lens, as well as an ultra-wide module. However, these sensors are not detailed any further thereafter. The 5 Pro, on the other hand, is confirmed to have a 48MP module as its primary shooter.

The Realme 5 is also now associated with a 5000mAh battery. It is not clear if the Pro has the same capacity, but we do now know that it will be equipped with VOOC 3.0, which charges at 20 watts and adds 55% to a power-pack in about 30 minutes.

Flipkart does not specify any further Realme 5 or 5 Pro facts, save to say that they will be released on August 20, 2019. However, it does drop a hint that the Realme 5 really may have the same SoC as the Mi A3: a "new best in segment processor for the first time ever in India". This may refer to the Snapdragon 665, which was released a relatively short time ago.

As for the Realme 5 Pro, its processor gets the vague handle of "lightning fast Snapdragon processor". This could cover anything from the 675 to the 855, but is also highly likely to be the 710 also found in the Mi CC9, a bigger sibling to the Mi A3.
