Google has only been shipping the Pixel 10 for a few days (curr. $799 on Amazon) after releasing the device on August 28. Unfortunately for some early adopters, major display issues quickly arose on the Pixel 10. As we covered last week, certain units exhibited red, green and white lines consistent with display damage.
However, these came and went even without restarting the device in some cases. As a result, it was unclear whether hardware or software issues were the root cause. Apparently, Google's recent September 2025 update has resolved the display errors for the most part, which has reached the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL as BD3A.250721.001.B7.
This month's update contained multiple other bug fixes too, the full list of which can be found on Google's corresponding support post. For some reason, Google does not mention this Pixel 10-related fix in its official changelog. Instead, it states that BD3A.250721.001.B7 includes a fix for an issue that could cause the display to turn black on the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro XL during Google Chrome webpage transitions. Nonetheless, Google has now issued the following statement to Android Authority:
We're aware of an issue impacting a small number of Pixel 10 devices. We began rolling out fixes on Sept. 3 with more to follow in the coming weeks.
Ultimately, Google has not guaranteed that BD3A.250721.001.B7 addresses the display snow issues across all affected Pixel 10 devices. If your Pixel 10 is still exhibiting the issue, then we would recommend opening a case using Google's repair service or contacting the retailer from which you purchased the device.
