The 2021 MacBook Pro 14 with the Apple M1 Pro chip (14-core GPU), 32 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage is on sale for only $1,454.99 on Woot. The laptop which is in “New; Open Box” condition should make for a good deal considering the performance, display, and battery life on offer.

Apple revamped the MacBook Pro 14 in 2021 with the M1 Pro/M1 Max SoCs, Liquid Retina XDR display, and MagSafe, among other things, for a starting price of $1,999. So although the laptop is outstanding as shown by our review, it was prohibitively expensive for many consumers. Fast forward a few years and you can now get the MacBook 14 with the M1 Pro chip and 32 GB of RAM for only $1,454.99 in New/Open-box condition on Woot. As a reference, the entry-level MacBook Pro 14 (2021) with the M1 Pro is going for $1,291 on Amazon in Renewed condition.

Granted, the MacBook Pro 14 on sale is over 3 years old and you can get the latest MacBook Pro 14 with a much more powerful M3 Pro (Available on Amazon), but the fact remains that the 2021 MacBook Pro 14 is a stellar device and ticks all the boxes.

For starters, the M1 Pro chip is still powerful as our testing puts the SoC on the same level as the Core i7-1270P in multi-core and Ryzen 7 6800H in single-core performance.

Add to it the efficiency improvements that allowed the MacBook Pro 14 to last a fantastic 13.5 hours in our Wi-Fi websurfing test and you have a laptop that is not only speedy but is also an endurance champ.

Additionally, the M1 Pro MacBook Pro 14 has a stunning 3024x1964, 120 Hz Liquid Retina XDR display. We measured the panel to deliver 99.3% DCI-P3 coverage, 479 nits of average brightness with a maximum HDR brightness of 1,607 nits, and a contrast ratio of 48900:1. The panel also comes calibrated out-of-the-box.

In other words, the MacBook Pro 14 has a display that is perfectly suitable for both media consumption and content production.

All in all, if you are in the market for a new MacBook for professional use, the 2021 MacBook Pro 14 on sale is an excellent choice.
