The Nord CE 5G is a new, mid-range phone from OnePlus pitched at European or Indian customers. Early adopters of the Snapdragon 750G-powered device may find they are greeted with not just one but two new notifications to install new updates to its version of Android skinned by OxygenOS.
The first of these is OxygenOS 11.0.2.2, which confers the May 2021 security patch upgrade on the new phone, as well as improved accuracy for its 90Hz "Fluid" AMOLED display's colors. However, it is rapidly succeeded by version 11.0.3.3, as reported by the tech blogger @nirmaltv on Twitter.
It contains stability improvements for the Nord CE 5G, as well as apparently predictable solutions for certain bugs found in the first update. However, it also refines the "fluency" of FHD recording at 60fps using the phone's triple rear cameras, as well as improvements for its HDR and NightScape features.
All in all, it is somewhat impressive that the OEM would devote the time and resources necessary to push these updates to a non-flagship phone in such quick succession. On the other hand, the Nord CE 5G could conceivably have launched with these practically zero-day issues resolved out of the box.
