OnePlus' new magnetic phone cooler is smaller than a bank card and weighs just 50g

OnePlus will unveil a smaller magnetic phone cooler, the Ice Card Mini, alongside the OnePlus 16 on October 12. The accessory is already listed on Oppo’s official online store in China, and OnePlus has confirmed it will debut at the phone’s launch event at 7pm local time.
The Ice Card Mini measures 70mm by 53.4mm, smaller than a standard bank card, and weighs about 50g. Its polycarbonate and aluminum alloy body is 9.7mm thick, rising to 12.3mm at the air intake. A thermoelectric (TEC) cooling chip works with an air-cooling system to direct cold air at the phone’s main heat source. Users can choose between a low setting rated at about 25dB and a high setting at about 35dB. A status light glows blue or green to show the active mode and flashes red to signal a fault.
The cooler connects over USB-C and draws up to 5V at 0.7A. It can be powered directly by the phone it is attached to or by a power bank or adapter, and OnePlus claims a 10,000mAh power bank can keep it running for up to eight hours on the high setting. A magnetic force of about 10N holds the cooler in place, and a magnetic plate in the box adds support for Android phones and iPhones without built-in magnets. OnePlus and OPPO phones can also pair it with the ColorOS X high-performance mode. The Ice Card Mini comes in a single Silver Wing grey color.
The new model follows the Magnetic Ice Cooling Clip, which OnePlus unveiled alongside the OnePlus 15T in March for 179 yuan (about $26). The cooler measures 87.6mm by 62mm by 9.8mm and weighs 68g, making the Mini about 18g lighter and roughly 30% smaller in footprint, with almost the same thickness. OnePlus has not yet announced pricing for the Mini.
