In July, OnePlus launched the OnePlus Pad Lite as an affordable tablet; however, it isn't the successor to the OnePlus Pad Go released in 2023. Now, OnePlus has announced it has a new tablet coming, which will launch as the OnePlus Pad Go 2.
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be announced alongside the OnePlus 15R on December 17th in India. According to promotional materials, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be available in Purple and Black. The tablet will have a flat frame, speaker grilles on each side, and a single rear camera. However, unlike its predecessor, which has its camera in the middle, the Pad Go 2's camera is at the top left corner, similar to the iPad 11th Gen (curr. available on Amazon for $279).
Another big upgrade the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will have is 5G support. This means that, unlike the OnePlus Pad Go, which has a Helio G99 processor, it will have either a MediaTek Dimensity processor or a Snapdragon processor with a 5G modem. It will also feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but it is not yet known if other configurations will be available.
OnePlus has also revealed that the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will have stylus support, specifically the OnePlus Stylo, but doesn't mention whether an optional keyboard will be available. There's no info on the rest of the specs, but knowing OnePlus, we can expect a barrage of teasers revealing key details of the tablet ahead of its launch.
