Oknife MK 3-in-1: Tiny gadget functions as flashlight, pocket knife and bit driver

Oknife, a spinoff of lighting specialist Olight, has launched the MK 3-in-1, an aluminum pocket tool that combines a flashlight, folding knife and bit driver. Measuring 6.5x2.4x1.5 cm and weighing 52 grams (approx. 1.83 ounces), it is slightly smaller than a BIC Maxi Classic lighter.

Its main spotlight promises up to 300 lumens at a 133 meter range (436 feet), but this reportedly lasts for just 30 seconds before dropping to 200 lumens for 80 minutes. 100 lumens is said to provide around 100 minutes, while reducing output to 15 lumens supposedly extends battery life to a maximum of 18 hours.

A 3-lumen red light and red strobe mode are also included. The integrated lighting can be used while operating either of the tool's mechanical functions, and a magnetic base allows the MK to serve as a hands-free work light. Its 450-mAh rechargeable battery reportedly charges in around 1.5 hours via USB-C, while a standard AAA battery provides an alternative power source.

The folding blade measures 48.5 mm and uses 9Cr18MoV stainless steel with a stated hardness of 58 ± 1 HRC. It employs a non-locking, two-handed slipjoint mechanism. Alongside it is a folding magnetic bit holder that can carry standard 4-mm double-ended bits, with an S2-steel PH0/SL3.5 bit included. The tool is rated IP65 for water resistance, although its compact design limits it to everyday cutting and light repair tasks rather than replacing a full-size toolkit.

The Oknife MK is currently listed at $42.49 at both Oknife and Amazon, reduced from its $49.99 standard price. It comes in Mao Desert White, Dark Green and Orange, along with a two-year warranty.
