Nubia Z70 Ultra cutting-edge camera-under-panel display tech showcased in new leak

The next wave of top-end smartphones will also bring a number of new displays to get excited about, according to the latest leaks. They include the BOE X2 display reportedly destined for the OnePlus 13, which might be outdone in turn by the Q10 panel of the iQOO 13. 

However, all of them might be eclipsed by one that can do something few other new 2024/25 panels will: hide the normally ever-present selfie punch-hole to create an under-display camera (UDC). 

Other devices have achieved this feat in the past, some to better effect than others; however, this one will outdo them all, even the most up-to-date version found in the Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Edition (currently starting at $649 on Amazon) according to esteemed leaker Digital Chat Station.

The tipster now purports to have posted a video preview of this display to Weibo, praising its ability to facilitate intensive gameplay without the normal distracting circular lapse in the pixel-matrix. 

It may indeed be only vaguely visible as something like an off-axis reflection in some frames. Given that the new (and impressively slim-bezel) UDC display is described as a "100% full-area" 1.5K panel, it most likely belongs to the Nubia Z70 Ultra based on previous tips.

The smartphone is also thought to come with Qualcomm's most powerful chipset for 2024/5 flagships and generous battery life despite its slim, flat-framed chassis.
