A retailer has confirmed that it will start shipping the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick next month for under US$50. The dongle, which Xiaomi recently certified with the EEC, will support 4K HDR and Android TV.

A new leak about the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick has appeared online, which would appear to be replacing the Mi TV Box S. Xiaomi has already teased the Mi TV Stick itself, so we know that it is a real product at least. Previously leaked by Gearbest, a recent post on r/AndroidTV has revealed more information about the device. The post claims that the details, a screenshot of which we have included below, were obtained by Trading Shenzhen, but we cannot verify this at the time of writing.

The information provided matches with what Gearbest announced in May. Namely, the Mi TV Stick will support native Chromecast functionality and will run on Android TV 9.0. Additionally, it will come bundled with a remote that features dedicated Google Assistant, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix buttons. The Mi TV Stick will support Dolby DTS-HD audio, too.

The post also states that the Mi TV Stick will receive global and US releases. According to the image, the global version has been assigned the SKU PFJ4098EU. Searching this SKU reveals multiple retailer listings, which price the Mi TV Stick at €39.95. The listings also state that the SKU carries the model number MDZ-24-AA, which Xiaomi recently certified with the EEC.

The photo states that the US SKU is PFJ4100US too, but we cannot find many references to this online. Nonetheless, one Spanish retailer claims that it will start shipping the EU model in late July. A retail price of €39.95 would make the Mi TV Stick considerably cheaper than the Mi Box S, which may be a strategic move on Xiaomi's behalf to tempt people away from purchasing a Fire TV Stick or Google's upcoming TV stick.
