Fresh details about RedMagic's next gaming smartphone have emerged before the device's official release. Allegedly much lighter and thinner than the RedMagic 11 Pro, the device should still pack a huge battery, ultra-fast charging and a large display.

The RedMagic 11 Air is edging towards being released, less than six months after the RedMagic 11 Pro debuted globally. Just a few days ago, the former was spotted on Geekbench with 16 GB of RAM and the same Qualcomm Snapdragon silicon as recent flagships like the OnePlus 13 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,005 on Amazon).

Now, RedMagic has formally confirmed that the RedMagic 11 Air is 'coming soon'. Shared across Chinese social media like Weibo, the teaser does not contain any specifics about the device, nor when it will officially launch. In the meantime, popular Weibo account Smart Pikachu has offered up various details about the RedMagic 11 Air ahead of time.

With the Snapdragon 8 Elite already known, Smart Pikachu adds that the RedMagic 11 Air will match its Pro counterpart by also containing up to 24 GB of RAM. The Air will be considerably thinner and lighter than its Pro-branded sibling though, at 7.85 mm and 207 g versus 8.9 mm and 230 g for the RedMagic 11 Pro. As a result, the Air will lack enough space to carry over the same 7,500 mAh battery.

Nonetheless, the RedMagic 11 Air will still surpass its contemporaries thanks to a circa 7,000 mAh combined capacity aided by 120 W wired charging. Additionally, the device is said to feature active cooling and a 6.85-inch display within its 163.82 x 76.54 mm housing. The design and launch pricing of RedMagic's next Air smartphone remain unknown at this stage, though.
