New Motorola smartphone revealed with battery capacity and charging capabilities detailed
The Moto E13 (curr. $96 on Amazon) has been around for a year at this point, having been announced at the end of January 2023. Motorola has not sought to refresh the device yet, though. Instead, it has focused on expanding Moto G series, most recently with the Moto G64. Additionally, the company updated its Edge series global earlier this week with the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Ultra, launch details of which we have covered separately.
However, the likes of MySmartPrice have discovered early evidence that Motorola is preparing to release a Moto E13 successor. Somewhat predictably, the device appears set to arrive as the Moto E14. So far, the device has surfaced on the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in the UAE and the TÜV Rheinland database, evidence of which we have embedded below. As usual, the TDRA provides a model number and a retail name, the latter of which other regulatory bodies tend to omit from their documents.
While the TDRA does not reveal any other information about the Moto E14, the TÜV Rheinland has outlined its battery capacity. Specifically, the latter reports 4,850 mAh, which is likely its rated capacity. As such, Motorola could advertise the Moto E14 by its typical battery capacity, which is probably closer to 5,000 mAh. Moreover, TÜV Rheinland suggests that the Moto E14 will support up to 20 W wired charging. Unfortunately, other hardware details remain unknown for now, including a release date.
