Xiaomi has started updating devices following the release of its global MIUI 14 rollout schedule. To recap, Xiaomi announced at MWC 2023 that at least 18 smartphones would receive MIUI 14 from Q1 2023 onwards, including popular models like the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 11 and Xiaomi 11 series. For reference, the devices that are set to gain MIUI 14 in Xiaomi's first wave are:
- Mi 11
- Mi 11 Lite
- Mi 11 Lite 5G
- Mi 11 Ultra
- Mi 11i
- Redmi 10 5G
- Redmi Note 10
- Redmi Note 10 Pro
- Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G
- Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
- Xiaomi 11T
- Xiaomi 11T Pro
- Xiaomi 12
- Xiaomi 12 Lite
- Xiaomi 12 Pro
- Xiaomi 12T
- Xiaomi 12T Pro
- Xiaomi 12X
Xiaomi has already started updating some of the 18 smartphones listed above. For example, the company pushed V14.0.2.0.TLCMIXM to the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE last month, as well as the Xiaomi 11T with V14.0.1.0.TKWEUXM on MIUI's European branch. Similarly, Xiaomi has introduced MIUI 14 to the Xiaomi 12X via V14.0.1.0.TLDEUXM. For some reason, Xiaomi has not communicated when it will update devices like other Android OEMs.
Next up appears to be the Mi 11i, to which Xiaomi has pushed V14.0.3.0.TKKMIXM and V14.0.1.0.TKKEUXM on MIUI's global and European branches, respectively. Please note that while the devices above will run MIUI 14 based on Android 13, others will eventually receive an Android 12-based version of MIUI 14. As the screenshots below highlight, Xiaomi promotes MIUI 14 as offering up to 7 GB in storage savings from MIUI 13. Also, Xiaomi has added larger folders and new widgets to improve the default home screen, although many features shown during MIUI 14's Chinese presentation are missing, such as virtual pets and up to 22% lower power usage.
