Although Xiaomi has not made any official announcement regarding the launch date of the MIUI 15 mobile operating system, most leaks and rumors point to December 2023. This would comply with the company's one-year major software update cycle. Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi 14 family of handsets would be launched running MIUI 15 out-of-the-box.
According to information that surfaced online on Telegram and was promptly delivered to a larger audience by the popular website Xiaomiui, MIUI 15 will come with solid improvements in two key areas, namely clipboard and audio-related features. As usual, one should keep in mind that this whole effort is work-in-progress software and everything can change until release.
While the clipboard will gain the ability to copy-paste photos and files in addition to blocks of text, the audio experience will be enhanced by the new quick settings menu toggle that can be used to push the audio volume up to 200%. So far, those who needed a louder audio experience usually resorted to third-party audio equalizers and volume control apps.
Sadly, the MIUI 14 update seems to be rolling out at a very slow pace in some markets, as some users have been waiting for it to reach their devices for more than a month. MIUI 15 should take software updates and global availability of all features seriously because losing users due to poor software support is much easier than gaining new adepts thanks to a good price/hardware specs ratio.
