New GPD Win Max 3 launching globally on September 2 with 165 Hz OLED display and 128 GB RAM

Towards the end of last month, GPD confirmed global pricing for its next Win Max handheld. At the same time, the company revealed that the Win Max 3 would be available to back on Indiegogo from September 2. In summary, the Win Max 3 will be available at the following prices and configurations:
- AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 388, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD - ~$1,750
- AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 388, 64 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD - ~$2,246
- AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, 128 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD - ~$3,499
It is worth noting that these prices have likely been converted from Hong Kong Dollars. Thus, pricing could vary by a few dollars at checkout. Also, GPD stresses that customs duties and VAT may be incurred when backing the Win Max 3 through Indiegogo.

Setting that aside, backers will receive a complimentary cooling fan module, as well as a 97 Wh battery module. For reference, a spare battery is expected to cost $69. GPD has not confirmed when it will begin shipping global crowdfunding units, though.
The GPD Win Max 3 crowdfunding campaign will go live at 02:00 UTC. In other words, the campaign is set to start at unsociable hours for anyone living in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and India Standard Time (IST). GPD has not clarified the extent of its Early Bird offers yet, either.
Not only does the new Win Max contain a more powerful processor than the Win Max 2 (curr. $1,680 on Amazon), but it also adopts a 165 Hz OLED display with 650 nits SDR and 1,050 nits (HBM) peak brightness values. Unfortunately, the Win Max 3 lacks the OCuLink port found across most Win Max 2 models. Please see the company's Indiegogo campaign page for more details.
