New FEVM mini PC pairs desktop AMD processors with up to Nvidia RTX 5090

FEVM has released a new AMD-equipped mini PC in China, the FA80G. It's powered by desktop AM5-series processors and paired with Nvidia Laptop GPUs, all packed into a 2.6-liter chassis.
Specifically, the company is offering a total of seven configurations, with the base configuration coming with the Ryzen 7 9700X and Nvidia RTX 5060 8GB Laptop GPU. The same AMD CPU can be equipped with an RTX 5080 16GB Laptop GPU.
Among the mid-tier options, there's the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which is also available with the same two GPU options. Two of the upper-end options equip the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and these are available with up to the RTX 5090 24GB Laptop GPU. As for the top-end config, it features the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, and it's only available with the RTX 5090.
One thing to note here is that these are desktop processors, meaning that they are not soldered to the mainboard. This makes the mini PC flexible in terms of upgradeability, but the Ryzen 7 7800X3D configurations stand in a better spot than the base ones. After all, the X3D processors are known to offer enhanced gaming performance.
Nonetheless, the company highlights that the processor can offer up to 90W of performance, while the GPU is said to deliver up to 150W of performance. On the cooling side, the mini PC has a four-heatpipe setup with what the company says is a "zoned heat source management" to ensure optimal hardware performance.
The mini PC can be equipped with up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM through the two SO-DIMM slots, and there are two M.2 slots, which should be capable of holding up to an 8TB drive each (Lexar 4TB NM790 curr. $499.99 on Amazon). As for the port configuration, while the FEVM FA80G has a compact form factor, there are a good number of ports, including:
- 2x USB Type-C
- 6x USB 3.2 Type-A
- 2x 2.5GbE
- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 2x DisplayPort 2.0
- 1x SD card slot
- 1x 3.5mm audio port
That is, the port configuration is somewhat identical to the FA65G launched in 2025, its predecessor. Price-wise, in China, the barebone configuration with Ryzen 7 9700X and RTX 5060 costs around CNY 7,599, around $1,132, while the top-end option with Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX 5090 is going for CNY 24,199, about $3,605. There's no word on a global release yet, but the FA80G could soon become available through retailers like AliExpress.
