High performance in a desktop-friendly chassis: System76’s new workstation is built specifically for local AI workloads and can be configured with dual graphics cards and AMD Ryzen processors across the board.

System76 has expanded its lineup with the new Thelio Mira AI desktop workstation. Purpose-built for running AI models locally, the system offers substantial privacy benefits for developers. The workstation is highly configurable, though maxing out its specs comes at a steep premium. CPU options include the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, Ryzen 9 9900X, and Ryzen 9 9950X, paired with up to 192 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 3,600 MHz via four 48 GB modules.

GPU configurations offer even greater flexibility. At the high end, the Thelio Mira AI can be equipped with two Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 graphics cards for a combined 192 GB of video memory—an upgrade that adds a staggering $37,239 to the total price. The base model features a single Nvidia A400. AMD options are more limited, restricted to a dual-card setup featuring two AMD Radeon AI Pro R9700 accelerators.

Storage options include up to two M.2 SSDs and two additional 2.5-inch drives, enabling up to 16 TB of expanded storage. The Thelio Mira AI starts at $3,299, which includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, an Nvidia A400 GPU, 64 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB M.2 SSD. Connectivity includes Ethernet and USB 3.2 Gen 2, while higher-tier configurations ship with dual power supplies.
