Aibox-9075: Compact PC with 200 TOPS, 36 GB ECC RAM, and Qualcomm SoC comes at a reasonable price

Most readers likely know Qualcomm primarily for its smartphone processors. However, the tech giant is also active in embedded and edge computing—a presence brought further into the mainstream following its acquisition of Arduino last year. With its industrial product lineup, Qualcomm targets both makers and enterprise clients. The Aibox-9075 is a new compact PC based on the Qualcomm IQ-9075 SoC, built specifically for industrial deployments. While not fully ruggedized or waterproof, it is rated for operating temperatures from −40 °C to 85 °C, making it suitable for installation in poorly ventilated control cabinets.
The device boasts peak AI performance of up to 200 TOPS, though real-world throughput will depend on the workload. Local execution of Large Language Models (LLMs) is supported, extending its utility beyond basic AI-assisted image analysis. Measuring 110.2 × 102.25 × 72.0 mm, the system features 36 GB of LPDDR5 RAM with ECC support and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 flash storage. Storage can be expanded via an M.2 2280 PCIe SSD. Network connectivity includes two 2.5 GbE ports alongside specialized industrial interfaces for sensors and actuators, including dual RS485 ports. The Aibox-9075 is available directly from the manufacturer for $1,239.
