New Dyson PencilWash lightweight floor cleaner launching globally

The Dyson PencilWash wet and dry cleaner has launched worldwide. This particularly slim floor cleaning device is a follow-up to the PencilVac, launched in 2025. The new model is designed to help you clean up wet spills and stains while ensuring the floor dries quickly.

The PencilWash is a filterless floor cleaner, using water and agitation to pick up mess on hard floors. The roller mop uses a high-density microfibre fabric, with 64,000 filaments per cm², and spins rapidly. An internal scraping system removes dirty water and collects debris, and Dyson suggests that the lack of a filter makes this a more hygienic cleaning solution.

Users of the Dyson PencilWash can choose between two power modes to suit their needs. The onboard 10 fl. oz (300 ml) clean water tank allows it to clean an area of up to 1,076 ft² (100 m²), and it will run for around 30 minutes between charges; a full recharge takes 3.5 hours. The handle is 1.5 inches (~38 mm) wide, so it is comfortable to hold, and the device is lightweight at 4.9 lbs (~2.2 kg). The mop head can pivot, and the body can lie almost flat (170°), making it 6 inches (~15 cm) tall, enabling it to clean under many items of furniture. In total, the model measures 10.5 x 7.8 x 45.6 Inches (267 x 198 x 1,155 mm).

In European countries like Spain, France and Germany, you can buy the Dyson PencilWash wet and dry cleaner for €349, seemingly shipping immediately. While it is also available to order on Amazon, customers are currently advised that they will not receive the product until September. In the US, this product will be released on March 17th with an $349 RRP.
