The Aqara Hub M200 was unveiled at a recent event. This new multi-protocol smart home hub can act as a Matter controller or a Thread Border Router. On top of this, the versatile product also has a built-in infrared (IR) blaster, allowing users to control older appliances from the same hub.

Aqara has announced the Hub M200. It was recently on show at IFA 2025 alongside other upcoming products from the brand. It builds on the older Aqara Hub M2, with a range of upgrades.

Firstly, the Hub M200 can act as a Matter Controller, a Thread Border Router or a Matter bridge for Aqara’s Zigbee devices. The multi-protocol smart home hub supports Thread, Zigbee, dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth. This makes it compatible with many of the brand’s devices and more than 50 types of Matter-enabled devices. It will support integration with many other smart home ecosystems.

On top of this, like the Hub M2, the Hub M200 is also a 360° infrared (IR) blaster. This means that it can be used to control older appliances like a TV, an air conditioner or a fan with voice commands, or to link them to smart home automations. It is unclear when the Aqara Hub M200 will launch and how much it will cost. As a rough guide, it is likely to be more expensive than the older Aqara Hub 2, which retails for $49.99 (curr. $36.99 at Amazon).
