TCL has launched the QM9K QD-Mini LED 4K Smart TV. This model is for the North American market, sharing similarities with the European C9K, which was released earlier in 2025. It is available in four sizes: 65”, 75”, 85” and 98”.
The QM9K is a QD-Mini LED with a 4K resolution, a native 144 Hz refresh rate and Motion Rate 480. It features a CrystGlow WHVA Panel with up to 6,042 local dimming zones and up to HDR6500 brightness. The brand’s new Halo Control System reduces blooming, and it also supports Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HLG and Filmmaker Mode.
TCL’s QM9K uses the Google TV interface, with Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2. Plus, it will be the first model to feature Google Gemini, bringing features like contextual search and “more responsive voice control”. Gaming tools include Auto Game Mode (ALLM), Game Accelerator 288 and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. There are built-in Bang & Olufsen speakers, compatible with Dolby Atmos, four HDMI ports (one eARC), and Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth connectivity. On top of this, the ultra-slim model has an integrated presence sensor, meaning the screen can be automatically switched on or off when you enter or leave the room.
The TCL QM9K QD-Mini LED 4K Smart TV is expected to launch later in September 2025. The company has not announced the pricing of this new model yet. For context, the 65” TCL QM8K, the model below the QM9K, launched with an $2,299 RRP (curr. $1,297.99 at Amazon).
