Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet to be showcased at Summer Game Fest 2026

It has been over a year since Naughty Dog's next game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, was first announced. That announcement came with a first look trailer that has been viewed 3.4 million times since its release on YouTube. Now, the game studio has revealed that new details will be revealed soon.
The announcement comes via a post on X, actually a quote of a post made by the official Summer Game Fest account. This year's Summer Game Fest is scheduled for June and will be a multi-day event that begins on Friday, June 5 and runs until Monday, June 8.
According to Naughty Dog's quoted post which simply says “This June.” and includes an image of the game's protagonist, we can be sure that there will be new details about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. What new details will be revealed remain unknown, but we can expect at least a new trailer.
Made for the PS5 (digital edition available on Amazon for $599) and scheduled to be released in mid-2027, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is an action-adventure game set thousands of years in the future. The game is directed and written by Neil Druckman, who is best known for The Last of Us. The protagonist, Jordan A. Mun, is played by Tati Gabrielle who starred in the Uncharted film and the second season of the live action adaptation of The Last of Us. It will also feature long-term collaborator, Troy Baker, and a handful of other actors.
