PlayStation launches Saros-themed photochromic glasses

Saros, the latest first-party title for the PS5, was released on April 30. While PlayStation didn't release any hardware tied to the game such as a limited edition controller or console, it did release a product that you can purchase, albeit in a few regions.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain (SIE Spain) has partnered with D.Franklin, a Spanish fashion brand, for limited edition glasses based on Saros. The design of the limited edition glasses is inspired by the video game as seen in the included images. According to the press release, the design draws inspiration from the importance of the sun and solar eclipses in the game.
The glasses feature blue light photochromic technology that not only protects against harmful blue light from screens, but also darkens when there's bright light. However, unlike other photochromic glasses where only the lenses change color, the frame of the glasses also switches from transparent to gray depending on light. D.Franklin says the glasses have UV400 protection and a Category 2 filter that is designed for low-light conditions and clear visions when indoors or outdoors.
The limited edition Saros glasses, which come in a special box that includes a leather case with PlayStation's and D.Franklin's logos, also have the name of the game inscribed on the temples. Priced at €69.99, the glasses are available to pre-order exclusively on D.Franklin's website ahead of their release in Spain on May 10. They are also available in Croatia, Greece, Italy, and Portugal.
