Nanoleaf is a well-known smart home lighting brand and competes with Philips Hue and Govee, and the company has now launched a new product. The so-called Nanoleaf Matter Smart Multicolor Rope Light is 16.4 ft long and is now available at the manufacturer’s official online store. In the US, it carries an official price tag of $69.99.
Nanoleaf’s new LED light strip is intended for indoor use but looks fairly similar to the Philips Hue White & Color Ambiance Outdoor LightStrip, which currently retails for $199 on Amazon. That said, this versatile and long smart light strip should have various use cases.
To be more exact, the flexible Nanoleaf rope light is easy to bend and can be mounted in various shapes via the included hooks. For instance, creative users can recreate a city skyline or the shape of certain objects on their wall.
This light strip sports a total of 420 integrated LEDs that are divided into 70 color zones. This allows for flashy color gradients across the Nanoleaf Matter Smart Multicolor Rope Light, which can hit up to 300 lumens. Additionally, animations are also supported and allow the light to flash in sync with music, to name just one example.
Moreover, the LED light strip can be synchronized with the colors shown on a monitor via the Nanoleaf 4D Sync+. The Matter Smart Multicolor Rope Light can also be controlled via the Nanoleaf app, which should receive an update soon that allows users to draw custom light designs on their smartphone and then apply them to the light strip. Thanks to Matter, the Nanoleaf light strip is also very easy to integrate into smart home networks.
