After the Tesla tequila and beer set, the automaker has now launched its long-awaited gummy candies that were in the rumor mill ever since they were trademarked last year.
With a tongue-in-cheek name of Supercharged Gummies, an edgy play on words if there ever was one, the Tesla candy varieties include a strawberry-flavored Cyberberry, a Mango Bolt, and a raspberry Dog Mode Chill.
The Supercharged Gummies come in a Tesla lightning bolt-styled box that seems inspired by its Diner Supercharger like its salt and pepper shakers, and are now present at the diner at a $35 price, as well as in the loot bags of those invited to its opening on Monday.
The new Supercharger station on Santa Monica Boulevard is inspired by the drive-in movie theaters and diners of the 50s and sells organic burgers and milkshakes as well as other exclusives besides the Supercharged Gummies, like a new black Optimus action figure where the robot cosplays as a fast-food server.
Keeping up with the festive releases, Tesla is also outing an LED lighting strip for the frunk of the Model Y and Model 3. It promises easy installation as the Model Y frunk lighting strip is plugged directly into the SUVs power supply. The Model 3 and Model Y ambient light for the front box comes with a constant current control module and has an IP67 water-resistance rating for those moments when the frunk is used as a party cooler.
Just as the Supercharged Gummies, however, the $100 Model Y frunk LED strip is expensive for an ambient lighting feature that should've come standard.
