Motorola currently has a handful of smartphone series which includes the entry-level Moto E series, the Moto G series, the Edge series, and the Razr series of foldable smartphones. However, it appears it will be adding a new line come 2026.
According to the popular leaker, Evan Blass, the smartphone codenamed “Urus” which was previously believed to launch as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra will arrive under a different name. It won't just be a different name but the first of a new series.
Posting on X, Blass revealed that the upcoming flagship will launch as the Motorola Signature. It is not yet known if this is the name the device will go buy in all markets or if it will launch as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra or even carry a different name in some markets.
So far, we know that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. A recent report also revealed that it will have stylus support. Unfortunately, it didn't specify if it would be a smart stylus like that of the Motorola Edge+ (2022) or a simple one like that of the Moto G Stylus 2025 (curr. available on Amazon for $299.99). However, considering the Motorola Signature is expected to be a premium series, it might be a smart stylus that connects via Bluetooth.
Leaked images have also revealed the phone will have a “gas stove” camera island with three cameras and an LED flash. There will be two colors available, but we won't rule out the possibility of additional ones, such as Cloud Dancer, which is Pantone's 2026 Color of the Year.
